Comprised of students, professionals, and enthusiasts from the metro NYC area, Gotham Thunder is looking to promote the sport of dragon boat racing.  Yearly participants of the NYC Dragon Boat Festival in Flushing Meadow Park, we have now expanded our horizons to include Miami, Montreal, Peekskill, Ithaca, Rhode Island, Hartford, and Toronto.

In our endeavor to create and develop a competitive sports club to reach national and international standards, we are looking for an indoor facility, preferably a pool and a gym, to continue the year long training process which this sport demands.  This allows the novice paddler to acquire the basic skills prior to actual water practice.  Off-water practice promotes the endurance and techniques of this demanding sport.
